Frequently asked questions

How do I connect my TikTok account?: Sign in at the app and choose Connect. You'll be sent to TikTok's own authorization screen, where TikTok lists the permissions requested; approving there links your account. Lowcountry Publisher never sees your TikTok password.
How do I disconnect?: Use the Disconnect button on your account screen. Stored access tokens are deleted when you disconnect.
How do I revoke access from TikTok's side?: In the TikTok app: Profile → Menu → Settings and privacy → Security & permissions → Apps and websites — remove Lowcountry Publisher there. Revoking on TikTok's side ends our access immediately.
What privacy levels can I choose for a post?: The audience selector shows the options TikTok makes available for your account — public, followers/friends, or only you. There is no pre-selected default: you choose for every post.
What video format can I upload?: MP4. After you post, TikTok processes the video on its side, usually within a few minutes.
I posted, but the video isn't on my profile yet.: TikTok processing can take a few minutes. Also check the audience setting you chose — a post set to "only you" is visible only when you're logged into that account.
